Where are the venues for day 1 (November 9) and day 2 (November 10)?

The symposium will be held at two venues in Sydney, NSW, on day 1 at Carriageworks, Bay 17 in Eveleigh and day 2 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, Level 2.

What are the start and end times for day 1 and day 2?

Day 1 runs from 2pm until 7pm. Day 2 runs from 8:30am until 4:30pm

Who are the other delegates attending?

This symposium is for a select group of system and school leaders from across NSW, in the Government, Independent and Catholic sectors and from primary and secondary schools. You were specially chosen for your capacity to contribute to the conversation on AI, innovation, and their implications for education. Select stakeholders from industry, across government and from across the education ecosystem will also be present.

How can I confirm my attendance?

You can confirm your attendance by completing the form under the “confirm attendance” section. Only guests who received a personal invitation will be able to confirm attendance for this event.

Can I attend if I haven’t received an invitation, give my invitation to another colleague, or bring another colleague with me?

Unfortunately, if you haven’t received an invitation, you will not be able to attend. If you want to discuss the possibility of attending or sending a delegate, please email nationalinitiatives@det.nsw.edu.au with why you think you or your delegate should attend, and someone will come back to you.

I am a presenter, do I need to confirm my attendance?

If you are one of the speakers or panellists, the organisers will register your attendance.

What does it cost to attend?

There is no registration fee to attend the symposium, however you will have to cover costs related to travel, food and accommodation.

Is there financial support for travel and accommodation expenses?

No. The Department will not cover travel and accommodation costs. The school or organisation you represent will be responsible for covering those costs.

Do I need to arrange my own travel and hotel bookings?

Yes. Unless you are a speaker are the conference please make your own travel and accommodation arrangements.
